Kelly Eviston earned her M.F.A. in Acting at the University of Idaho and her B.F.A. from the University of Kentucky. She has taught acting at the University of Idaho since 1998. Her stage experience includes performances at the Kincaid Repertory Theatre, the Flat Rock Playhouse, the New York Theatre Lab, and the Mill Mountain Theatre. Kelly has performed extensively in the Pacific Northwest in local theater and with the Idaho Repetory Theatre, including lead roles in productions of Sylvia, Much Ado about Nothing, The Rainmaker, and Grace and Glorie. She appeared as Guinevere in a production of Camelot with the Coeur d'Alene (ID) Summer Theatre. Kelly has also directed several local theatrical productions, including Gift of the Magi, Tongue of a Bird, and Picnic.

A young urban family spends summers on an idyllic island. When an abandoned, mangy mutt wanders onto the property, the dad alerts Animal Control - but the children beg to keep the dog.
